Liberty City. It's arguably one of gamings most complete creations, a fully-realised fictitious American city that takes a bit of LA, a bit of New York, a bit of Chicago, and many other great American landmarks, and mooches them together to create a na...

Social watchdogs take note: The scum of Liberty City are back in business with a sideline in bullets, bloodshed and very bad behaviour. Cop-killing is mandatory, murder and mayhem rule the streets and prostitution is just one car beep away. In other words, it’s good to be back in town!Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City is a double-dose of Rockstar candy; combining the outlaw biker saga The Lost and Damned with the all-new The Ballad of Gay Tony. The two tales entwine loosely with ea...

It's been a few months now since The Lost and Damned graced our consoles and got us all stuck back into GTA IV. Finally, after much anticipation, the second piece of episodic content has arrived in the form of The Ballad of Gay Tony. Conveniently, bot...

  • Best storyline so far. Great new activities including BASE jumping. Multiplayer refinements and additions. Overall additions.
  • PS3 and PC owners are really missing out. You might already have traded in your GTA IV, but even this isn't really a problem as the Episodes pack is standalone and features both expansions without the requirement for the original GTA IV.

Episodes From Liberty City is a 'standalone' game release in the universe, meaning you don't have to own the original Grand Theft Auto IV game to play - this will work right out of the box, providing you with both the new content 'add-on' s to p...

It’s strange to think that, as of this writing, Grand Theft Auto IV is more than a year and a half old. It’s even stranger to think that the story it began is finally complete, with the two downloadable episodes – The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of...

Contrary to the media fervour, and contrary to my own expectations, I wasn’t blown away by GTA IV. Technically it was a stunning achievement – with more depth than any game I’d played before –but to my surprise, the content was a real letdown. Beyond t...
  • All of these additions make the DLC more enjoyable than GTA IV to play, with less irritation and more freedom to do as you wish, and much more interesting protagonists. Despite Johnny’s “nasty piece of work” character, it’s hard not to empathise with h...
