Picking up S.T.E.A.M. with Science-Technology-Engineering-Art-Math:
'Lava' will spurt out of the mouth of the mini volcano with help of a little vinegar, baking soda and dish soap. The baking soda, which acts as a base, neutralizes the acid in the vinegar. Together, there is a release of carbon dioxide gas, which causes the fizzing action in your volcano. Pretty cool, right?
